Benjamin Lay was an 18th century man with dwarfism who believed in equality. He fought for human rights alongside his wife, Sarah (also a little person) and they helped educate, feed and care for enslaved individuals from Barbados, to the UK to Philadelphia. When things don’t go as planned. This morning I saw a video from the spring where Avery was able to hold her head up and sit on my hip and dance. It’s, both, of our favorite things to do together. I can’t help but have my heart break to see that video and then see how much things have changed. It would be easy to stay here in this sadness. Too easy actually. I won’t. I will continue to pray and hope and wish that she can get head control back and get back on my hip again. I will be thankful for

🥹😭✨ What is a tiny miracle? It’s an answered prayer. It’s faith coming to fruition. It is a reminder that God has not forgotten about your prayers. Faith is hard. Faith when you watch your child suffer, is well, really hard. And while I will never know the why behind my child’s suffering, I see this video of her pulling out paper from a bag and know it’s an answered prayer. It’s a tiny miracle.
