After many years in storage, these three Tompion clocks will strike the hour once again. 🕰️ Made in the 18th century by Thomas Tompion, the ‘Father of English Clockmaking’, the clocks are now being readied for display in our new museum exhibition. 🔧 Oiled and serviced by Paul Roberson, Vice President of the British Horological Institute, the grandfather clock and desk clocks will be running just in time for the upcoming exhibition, ‘The World’s Mine Oyster: Art, Nature and Collecting the Globe
